When a friend tells you his library is withdrawing something interesting, it’s always best to pay attention.
I’m glad that I decided to take a trip over to Kenyon College’s library to take a look, because what I found was amazing: thirty-five bound volumes of Byte Magazine – and a few loose copies – spanning over a decade of the magazine’s life. Being copies from a liberal arts college, they were understandably underused and in excellent condition.
I put in a request, through my friend, to acquire the entire collection. After a period of internal review (where professors get first dibs, etc.) no one claimed them, so they became part of my museum.
