Macs in Jim Gibson’s Collection

Jim runs the Knox County History Museum and has a couple old Macs he’s asked me to sell. He’s trying to make a fair deal on these, therefore the higher price. Already better than eBay, but negotiable if fair offer is made.

• External Physical Condition: Good. Standard amount of wear for age.
• Internal Physical Condition: did not take apart, too difficult for this purpose.

  • Modem was not tested.
  • Screen seems to function. There is some ripple in the video.  No cracking noises observed during testing.
  • Slot Load drive has issues pulling in discs and can barely eject them. Most times you require a set of long nose pliers to retrieve the disk. But once loaded it reads them.

• Internal Physical Condition: Good, slightly dusty, no damage. Diode hack on chip near AGP slot.

  • Optical drive opens reads and ejects disks.
  • Zip drive was not tested.
